Our Beginnings
Insight Agronomics was created in response to a neighbor’s question: “Can you help me with this?”
Insight Ag has since evolved into a full suite of agronomy services, from off-season planning and soil sampling, to in-season pest management consulting. Since we don’t sell seed, fertilizer, or crop protection products, we maintain an unbiased and independent perspective.
Our Founder
President and founder Joshua Joyner comes from a long line of farmers. Because of this, he has deep understanding of the role and importance of sound agronomic principles.
With the founding of Insight Ag, he has combined a passion for high quality agronomy with a desire to serve others.
Joshua is a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA), a licensed North Carolina pesticide consultant, and holds degrees in agronomy (B.S.) and weed science (M.S.) from North Carolina State University. He spent time conducting field research in both industry and university settings. Josh is a proud member of the North Carolina Agricultural Consultants Association (NCACA) and serves on the board of the Weed Science Society of North Carolina.
